Techniques to make sure you don't forget anything II
CRM and Trello will be your map and your GPS track. Follow them and you won't get lost.
Last Saturday my partner Anna and I went snowshoeing. Orienteering is not our thing, so we chose to follow a signposted route along the ski slopes. It was a beautiful day and we couldn't get lost on the way up. It was a circular route and, after reaching the summit of Padró dels Quatre Batlles, we realised that the descent was not well signposted and it was easy to get lost. Luckily, before starting the route I had downloaded the track on Wikiloc and we were able to quickly find our bearings. The descent, which ran through a beautiful forest, was even more beautiful than the ascent. We arrived at the starting point on time. We were tired, but happy.

The process of selling a property is like a hike. It has a beginning, an end and a marked route. And we must take into account that obstacles are likely to arise: injuries, accidents, bad weather...
There is estate agents who go hiking without GPS and without a track. They rely too much on their experience and skills. I trust mine too, but even so, I never work without a good GPS.
Why?
- Because I know I can fail.
- Because I know that what does not depend on me can also fail.
- Because I often venture into difficult and risky expeditions.
- Because I don't always have the same energy.
- Because, in this profession, it is rarely possible to chain one excursion after another, but more often than not, we have to participate in several at the same time.
As I said in the first article in this trilogy of Techniques to make sure you don't forget anythingTo get lost - as it is to get lost - is human and probable. But a good professional cannot afford it, because the client suffers the consequences.
As real estate agents, we deal with very high numbers and are often involved with clients who are at a very sensitive time in their lives. So, even if we feel we can walk even without a map, the safest thing to do is to have a good GPS at hand.
WHAT DO YOU NEED TO DO TO SUCCESSFULLY COMPLETE A HOME SALE?
- Having a defined and sensible route, i.e. know-how and quality processes.
- Provide you with equipment that enables you to apply your knowledge safely and effectively, i.e. a good CRM and productivity applications.
If you have them - and use them - you can enjoy the scenery, the adrenaline rush of reaching the summit and the pleasure of returning home safe and sound. Always.

- If you don't use CRM, you're overdue. At Monapart we have a very powerful one and it's called Felix.
- Sign up for a free Trello. It is the perfect complement to reach where CRM does not.
- Once in Trello, design your sales process, with all the stages, for example: Acquisition, Production, Marketing, Closing and After-sales.
- Create a Checklist with the tasks that make up each of the stages. The more detailed, the better. For example, in the Production stage:
- Turn the Trello card into a template that you can use for each new marketing and change stages as you go along.
