In the family with Lluís Trillo

Creativity, family and social commitment.

Love arrives. Quite a declaration of intent. This is how Lluís Trillo, one of the three founders of The Love Comes, the non-profit organisation that three publicists decided to create when they realised that if they could swell the coffers of companies, they could also do so with a social purpose.

Drawing upon all their creativity and experience gained in major advertising agencies, they redefined solidarity—as they themselves put it—as «something cool, inspiring and profitable. We do this by using creativity and twenty-first-century aspirations, thereby stimulating a shared social commitment between businesses and civil society.» Above all, though, they believe in love, and when Lluis tells us about his latest projects or how his daughter Lola has served as his inspiration, his speech becomes moving, breathless and overwhelming. A good sign.

Contrast the serenity of Lola who, from a very young age, has been involved in her father's projects, helping out in the Primavera Sound or instilling good habits at home that will serve as the foundational concept for their upcoming project «Behave, when I grow up I want to be like you».

Merche joined this duo some time ago and nods as Lluís explains to us that one of the first projects they launched was Supernanas, an idea that came to them when they saw in a documentary that modern English mothers were singing Britney Spears songs to their babies. Between being scandalised and horrified, they decided to put a stop to the matter before it crossed the Channel. For their first volume, they had the selfless collaboration of groups such as Delafé y Las Flores Azules, Sidonie, Miqui Puig, Standstill, Vetusta Morla, Amaral, Love of Lesbian o María Villalón, among others.

Lluís has nothing but words of gratitude and admiration for all of them, and recounts that few have children of their own, but all have nieces, nephews or young children around them, like Miqui Puig, whose niece and nephew ask him to play «spinning» music, hence his super-lullaby. But they all remember the lullabies of their childhood and have shared that moment of utmost protection that parents give their children when they accompany them as sleep approaches. If music is the central focus of their projects, it is no coincidence. Lluís describes himself as a frustrated musician and says that is why he gave his foundation a band's name.

Yet beyond coincidences in sublimated desires, music is used as a meeting point for little ones to instil in them values that they can use in the future as tools to create a better society. Nervous but very proud, Lluís and his partners celebrated the launch of Supernanas' second album on 13 December with a concert at the Liceu where most of the groups performed the lullabies composed especially for this unique project.
