The house of David Ymbernon
It all began in 1994, with a painting and a colour. Ever since, David Ymbernon’s world has been orange, a colour that combines the energy of red with the happiness of yellow, and is therefore associated with joy, the bright sun, the tropics.
The sight of the colour orange produces the sensation of a greater supply of oxygen to the brain, which invigorates and stimulates brain activity. It is a warm colour that carries energy, happiness, creativity, determination, success, encouragement and stimulus... Everything we found in David Ymbernon's home, culinary visual poet, i l’Elisabet Augé, interior designer with a long career in the sector.
David's is the colour orange, Elisabeth's the choice of materials, and they have two little ones, Dadà and Daida. Behold a family that takes art as a way of life; they don't just live, they «art-live», and their home isn't their home, it's your home, if indeed anyone's home can be said to belong to them. David and Elisabeth have turned their abode into a flat-foundation where all kinds of performances are held in an intimate format: dinners, gigs, plays... A project that opens its doors to anyone who wants to experience art up close.
