Marina, Ana, Natalia and Natura channeled through Mirinda CompanyThe design studio, their graphic design and art direction studio, all their love for things well done and the inspiration that their unique environment offers them: a small private forest (with elves!), where silence and nature merge seamlessly with the interior. Follow them on social networks (@mirinda_company on Instagram) and read our interview to find out more about them.

Tell us about yourself and your work. Where did your vocation start? Any first memories?

My vocation goes back to when I was 9 years old. I have a postcard from my grandmother for my birthday in which she told me that she hoped I would become a great designer of boxes, advertisements and books. At that time I didn't know it was called graphic design or art direction, but I knew what I wanted to be.

What do you find most satisfying about your work, and is there anything you are particularly proud of?

I like the whole process of my work, it's like a hobby for me. I love meeting Ana, Natalia and Natura every morning, playing music... working as a team. There is never a lack of passion and laughter. My work is something in constant movement, so when I finish, I start again.

What is your creative process like, what are your sources of inspiration, any particular music while working?

The process is hours of work, research and tests and more tests, opening many ways of working and then discarding, normally it's like that. Always with music, but depending on the day, it's one or the other. In the studio every day someone different plays music, so we listen to everything.

Is your home a reflection of who you are? Tell us what it smells like, your favourite corner, your favourite decorative object or piece of furniture, if you treasure a collection... And if you have a pet, introduce it to us!

My house is not a house... it is the den of my four children and our dog Robin! It's a house where there are always people coming and going, where there is a lot of cooking, it's a house with spirits and fruit trees, it smells of lime, jasmine and lemon. I don't have fetishes, I love the photos that my friends give me and each one means something. I have several photos of Bèla Adler, Leah Fresneda, Salva López, Martina Matencio, Ellen Von Unwerth or Stefan Ruiz.

If you could buy anything right now and take it home, what would it be? Anything!

Flowers, plants and fruit trees.

A great plan at home always includes...

Children and friends.

Do you have a signature dish?

Yes, several! A marinated meat, recipe by Carla Tarruella; a steamed monkfish, recipe by Pati Núñez; and a lamb, recipe by my grandmother. I love cooking and getting together in the kitchen.

Where is your favourite place in your city and abroad?

My home. Abroad, the houses of my friends. For example, my friend Ivy Kwan's house, who is pure love.

Mirinda Company is much more than a graphic design studio: it is a space where creativity, teamwork and passion for what is well done are in perfect harmony. Surrounded by nature and with a dose of duende, Marina, Ana, Natalia and Natura give life to unique projects that reflect their spirit and dedication.
