Tenants

Read this post only if you accept it sitcom like a website. Where else would we talk about this series? But we wanted to, no matter what. We would have even created a dedicated section for sitcoms, but it turns out there aren't any more.

At least, none like it Tenants, which touches on our two favorite topics: housing (not houses) and the city, and everything in this series takes place in a student apartment in Madrid. So we're good. And if, on top of that, their (thousands) of followers self-identify as fanquilinos, Well, we could very well introduce them to our fellow citizens (also thousands...).

Screenplay and direction by Inés de León, Inés, who plays… Inés, a compulsive comic reader, toy collector and nervous; she lives with Sabrina, played by… Sabrina Praga, an aspiring actress, a compulsive smoker and cold; her friend is Bárbara, played by Bárbara Santa-Cruz, a professional drunk, addicted to shopping and egocentric; the boy is Rodrigo Taramona, who plays… the cousin, a vagabond with a vague vocational background, a frustrated loser and a good-looking guy.

So far they have recorded 5 episodes, in which they have discussed issues as domestic as problems finding a roommate (episode 1), living with neighbors, not always easy when there are leaks (episode 2), healthy living (episode 3) or life as a couple (episode 4). The 6th episode is coming up…

We love the series Inquilinos directed by Inés de León because it touches on the topics we love at Monapart: housing and the city, and everything in this series takes place in a student apartment in Madrid.
