Summarising the essence of Julia Esqué’s (@juliaesque on Instagram) work as a product designer in a few words is easy thanks to all the work behind it. Her projects are grounded in research and hands-on practice, and have been exhibited at the Brussels Collector Fair, the Design Museum Ghent and the HKDI Gallery in Tokyo, among others. With a vision shaped by five years collaborating with Stephen Burks in New York, and after working with Martí Guixé, Jaume Ramírez and Curro Claret, she continues learning (and teaching) things and seeking inspiration without waiting for it to arrive. Between one project and the next, she distils her love for objects for us in this interview.
