How to make an original Christmas menu and not die in the attempt
There is life beyond turkey, suckling lamb and roast suckling pig... and catering too! Cocinillas TM5 offers us a menu to win a medal this festive season.
This post is especially dedicated to all those clumsy, lazy and skimpy Christmas cooks (don't look the other way, it's for you...), to those of you who always bring the wine or the ice and if you are asked to make dessert you buy it in the frozen food section. Christmas is coming and you can't imagine how good it feels to cook something and to be told that it's delicious. It feels good. It really does.
Jorge (El Cocinillas) tells me that he didn't cook anything at all and that one day after seeing a recipe from Isasaweis on YouTube he plucked up the courage, made it and discovered (oh, miracle!), that it was easy and that it was good too!
The food processor came into her life a little later on and one day she took the plunge and uploaded her first recipe to YouTube. He admits that it was a disaster, but little by little, "with the help of glasses" and taking more and more care of the image, the details and the content, he has managed to carve out a niche for himself in the networks with very loyal and active followers.
In addition to YouTube, you can find it on Facebook and above all in Instagram. And so that you can put a face to Jorge, here we present to you Cocinillas TM5.

Question: Jorge, I'm going to remind you of your most popular recipes: the crumbs, the croquettes, the bizcoflan and the homemade sushi. Tell me now that you eat everything you do and that this is your body constitution, please.
Answer: (laughs) I eat everything but in moderation. I try to take care of myself but I have a sweet tooth, so if I make a dessert, I REALLY make it. The same goes for big meals. The trick is to invite friends over so you don't eat it all by yourself and take care of yourself between recipes. On the channel you also have many healthy and low calorie recipes, but of course, croquettes are croquettes.
Chefs, what are you going to surprise us with this festive season?
To begin with, I think that breakfasts are the great forgotten ones at this time of year, and that's why I recommend a couple of recipes to start the festive mornings in a special way:
Coffee bread with walnuts and sultanas: Fluffy, delicious and perfect to start the morning with energy.
Apple cream: To spread on coffee bread as if it were a jam, to liven up a sponge cake and also to accompany savoury snacks.
Mmmm, off to a good start, but now comes the challenge... Recommend an easy, good and very, very tasty menu for this festive season.
To begin with, something to eat with a spoon is a must, so I suggest this one:
For the main course I propose a meat with a festive touch: Pork tenderloin with raspberry sauce.
And for dessert... Nougat Bundt Cake.
Great, and now... Can you give us an exclusive recipe for the monaparters? A really good-looking one that we can pose with for a while.
(laughs) Of course!
Roscón de Reyes with chocolate mirror glaze
What if we don't have a food processor?
No problem! You will have to dedicate a little more time to it and perhaps be a little more crafty, but with a little love, it is sure to turn out very well.
¡Bon apetit and happy holidays! Thank you CocinillasTM5, see you on the networks!
