There are many things that, with the passage of time, deteriorate and cease to be useful for the purpose for which they were created and yet the vicissitudes they have gone through have imbued them with a certain character and made them even more beautiful. It would be a pity to get rid of them... As for the veils of the seaIf not, we won't have to suffer any more.
Dvelas recovers old sailing boats that, due to their use, have deteriorated and are no longer suitable for precise navigation, but thanks to their materials, they still have excellent qualities (resistance and waterproofing) and are perfect for transforming them into unique pieces of contemporary furniture.
Following the same manufacturing techniques used in professional sailmakers and drawing on their passion for the sea and sailing, all their furniture designs have a conceptual component that seeks to work the materials in a similar way to how they were used at sea. A limited number of unique fish are made from each recovered sail and each one is labelled with information about its origin, the type of sail, its weight, the sailmaker where it was made, the ship it belonged to, the port of origin, the seas it sailed in... Pure poetry.
"That it is my ship my
treasure, who is my god the
freedom, my law, my strength
and the wind, my only
homeland, the sea".
