The story begins in Marta's childhood, when she helped her parents build their own house: pulling cables, painting walls, sawing parquet... Those domestic tasks became an early school of interior design.

"Spaces are not neutral: they are built with affection, effort and memory."he says. And from that conviction was born the verb please visita term that today gives its name to its study and its philosophy.

"I'm a curullo, you curullas, and between all of us we curullo your space to turn it into a place designed to be lived in".

The Curullar Method: designing with you

At Curullar, decorating is not a unilateral gesture. Marta works in a network with architects, interior designers, craftswomen, graphic designers and photographers. But the most important collaboration is with you: the client becomes co-author of the project.

"I love helping to unravel ideas and turn them into real solutions, he explains. This way of working turns every assignment into a passion project. It doesn't matter if it's a small flat or a gastronomic establishment: they are all experienced with the same intensity.

Watching to curl

Curating begins with the gaze. Marta observes facades, forgotten textures, unexpected colours. She photographs anonymous corners that later inspire entire atmospheres. When she is immersed in a project, even her clothes reflect the colour palette she is working on.

The process is also fuelled by infinite scrolling on Instagram and Pinterest, because inspiration does not distinguish between street and screen. And, as a backdrop, the music suggested by Spotify, which accompanies the mood of each phase.

Identity and narrative

Curullar does not impose a style, he builds a story. In Marta's story, her reddish favourites coexist, readings such as Brave New World by Aldous Huxley, the sensuality of Call Me by Your Name and the aesthetics of Paolo Sorrentino; references that filter through without dictating. Because to decorate is to narrateEvery object, every colour, every atmosphere tells a chapter of your story.

The home as a laboratory

His house confirms what he preaches: colourful, lively, full of pieces with a past. From this passion was born Gènerua side project to rescue and share objects with history. There shine his fetishes, the Toucan Lamp, icons of the pop of the 1970s that have made a strong comeback on the radar. vintageWhy do they matter? Because they remind us that the fun design also curullaThe mood is lifted and the space is de-dramatised.

And, yes, there is Cendra - his cat - occupying sofas and lighting up corners. Because a home is also measured in company.

Everyday and shared

Curating doesn't just happen in art or design: it also happens in everyday life. A perfect plan at home always includes friends, family and popcorn. His signature dish is the lightly curdled potato and onion omelette, which has become a ritual among his friends.

If I could choose one thing right now, it would not be a decorative object, but a place: a terrace with a sea view and a mountain view. A statement of intent: curating is also about opening the interior to the landscapes that inspire us.

Places that heal

In Barcelona, Marta stays with Gràciatheir host neighbourhood, and with the Barceloneta at dawnwhen there are still more fish than people.

Abroad, quote Brooklyn, Kyoto, Berlin, Oaxaca and Chocó: diverse places, full of character and culture. All of them inspire her way of understanding decoration as a crossroads of identities and memories.

To curl is to dwell with a soul

In a sector sometimes dominated by fleeting trends, Curullar proposes another logic: to make decoration a shared, honest and meaningful process..

It is not just another style in the decorative catalogue. It is a vital attitude. Decorating is not about filling walls and shelves, it's about creating spaces that welcome you, represent you and make you live better..

Marta has turned an invented verb into a decorating philosophy that goes beyond aesthetics: it is a reminder that what is important is not what you have, but how you live in it.
