Cirera + Espinet

We often dream of finding our sentimental better half. On the other hand, there are those who dream of finding their professional better half, and when they fall in love, a pair of aces is born that is usually the best.

Cristina Cirera and Mariona Espinet felt this connection when they started working together in an architecture office in Barcelona. That place was the anchor of a solid friendship that has ended up becoming a common professional and life project: the interior design studio Cirera+Spinet.

Both daughters of interior designers y architects, both have design in their DNA. They both graduated in interior design, at Elisava y Eina respectively, and both furthered their studies by working abroad (Cristina in Havana and Milan, Mariona in Sydney). They tell us that despite the distance, they never lost contact and often worked together on their projects via Skype. This dependence on each other, together with the desire to create a project of their own, led Mariona to return from Australia to set up the studio with Cristina. Cirera+Espinet in 2013.

Since then they have not stopped: interior design y home decoration, ephemeral architecture, furniture design, graphics e corporate identity...

They are encouraged with everything, paying special attention to the aesthetics of the materials and to the the functionality of the spaces.

They don't like to define themselves and they don't claim to have a specific style, but the truth is that their projects exude a singular freshness that is very typical of young people who want to take risks and take on the world. Who said fear!
