At Miguel Rosino's house
We present to you the wonderful home of Miguel Rosino, an intrepid man from Zamora who in 2006 decided to pack his bags, leave behind the stressful life of Madrid and move to Alicante, drawn by its beautiful light and wonderful climate.

The first thing Miguel did when landing in Alicante was to look for a centrally located flat. Almost unexpectedly, he found this lovely flat with excellent views over the city. Despite being a very old flat, Miguel managed to see the many possibilities the space offered, and without thinking twice, he decided to take the plunge, buy it and completely renovate it.

Miguel had a plan, but as we already know, plans are rarely followed to the letter... Right at the start of the building work, some iron structures and concrete pillars appeared that fascinated him and made him radically change the initial renovation project. Playing with these original elements, Miguel conceived a bright house with very spacious rooms.

Of the four original bedrooms, Miguel chose to keep only two, thus gaining much more space. He also decided to change the layout of the house, converting the old kitchen into the master bedroom.

Some of the materials used in the renovation come from industrial warehouses, demolition sites and flea markets. Just look at the wonderful kitchen sink and some of the decorative objects.

All of Miguel's home has a strongly industrial style and is somewhat reminiscent of a loft due to the generosity of its spaces. The juxtaposition of noble materials such as iron or wood is present in most of the rooms, giving them a lot of character.

Miguel works from home and the dining table serves as his study.

Miguel's favourite room is the bedroom, because it is the place where he usually spends the most time, reading, watching television while relaxing or working.

We have said it before, but Miguel had a plan. When he left Madrid behind to move to Alicante, he did so while also setting a new professional adventure in motion. After working for 30 years in the private security sector, he decided to make a radical change to his profession and break into the artistic world. What catalysed this radical change was an artisan gathering in Rojales where Miguel was fascinated by the participants' creations. From that moment on, he decided to dedicate himself to painting, sculpture and furniture design. Some of his lovely creations can be found in his home and in exhibitions such as the Alicante Design Market.
