B-House my friend

b-House it is a project that was founded in 2012 by David Domínguez, architect and owner of the architecture practice b-Architecture and professor of architectural design at the Ramon Llull University.

The starting point was to create a home designed for contemporary living, built from timber, environmentally friendly, fitted to the budget of clients with very different needs, and with shorter construction times than those of traditional building. The project began with four different typologies, all of them adaptable in their final phase to the more specific needs and tastes of the clients.

We start from the spirit of cooperatives to make the dream of a different life surrounded by nature a reality.

Since people who do different things differently are bound to cross paths, b-Architecture and Monapart met and took a liking to each other in late 2016. As a result of this encounter, many meetings and half a year of working together, the idea of was born b-House communities.

Again, It is about responding to a need detected in a new generation of home buyers for a “return to the essence” to live a more tranquil life and in closer contact with nature. Through collaboration with Monapart, b-Architecture has developed a project of small communities consisting of 4 or 5 houses with timeless, flexible architecture, featuring private and communal spaces. “We draw on the spirit of cooperatives to make the dream of a different life in the heart of nature a reality”, states David Domínguez. The result takes the form of a housing development that, despite having private and intimate outdoor spaces, dedicates a significant part of the plot to a collective space housing play areas, allotments, a solar plant or a swimming pool.
