Monaparty 2016
On 31 March 2010, at 23:59 at night, between pizza boxes and many sleepless nights, we pressed "Enter" on an old computer that launched our website. After what would be nine months of gestation (more or less), Monapart saw the light.
Family and friends couldn't quite understand our madness. How we could leave our professional careers behind to start a real estate company. Yuck! The worst, and at the worst time, too. The worst real estate crisis in history, a sector stigmatised by malpractice, caste and caste everywhere... But we only saw the opportunity for improvement. So many things to do!
Monapart would be the odd man out, the rara avis of real estate agencies. That's why we chose the hummingbird as our image. Half bird-half insect, flying back and forth at a frenetic pace, in search of the sweetest nectar of the most beautiful flowers... Voilà! The hummingbird's flowers would be our #vivviviendasbonitas. It only chooses the sweetest ones, we would only choose special, charming, one-of-a-kind homes. Anyway, even if all this sounds a little bit like a small story, some of you will remember our motto at the beginning: "the community for realists who ask for the impossible"...

The impossible... How do you describe a place where you can buy a house, learn how to make a Negroni, visit Leonor Watling's bathroom or find out what people like you think about Ikea kitchens or Scandinavian furniture from the 1950s? The elevator pitch was clear: Monapart is a radically new look at the domestic universe. But it was true! And when our interlocutor looked at us without wrinkling his nose, we knew that we had a #monaparter in front of us, someone with whom we have two things in common: the will to live in those extraordinary, unique, special, infrequent, different, hallucinating and indescribable spaces that every city hides, on the one hand, and on the other, someone who knows that the house, the home, is more than just a roof to sleep under, because they are the people, memories, colours, flavours, songs, objects and voices that speak of you and for you. That speak of your world to the world.
Throughout these 6 years we have been weaving complicities with many monaparters, first in Barcelona, now in Palma, Alicante, Valencia, Girona... The network of agencies continues to grow, confirming that we were not crazy, and that if we hadn't invented Monapart, someone else would have.

We do fast forward and we are now on Thursday 31 March 2016, the day when Monapart turns 6 years old. Yes, the logical thing would have been to celebrate the 5th anniversary, like everyone else. But look, we are weird even for anniversaries... This deserved a party, the first #monaparty in history (because there will be more, of course) and we wanted to celebrate it with you, with the 550 customers who have passed through Monapart and also with our family, friends, collaborators and Monaparters who have been by our side all this time and have given us your trust, at a time when it was to run to a real estate agency.

The party took place at the Brooklyn LoftWe knew that a party without good food and drink is no party at all, so we had the best: delicious catering by the delicious catering company. We knew that a party without good food and drink is not a party, so we counted on the best: delicious catering by Pastisseria Canaland washed down with the rosé cava from Mont Marçal. And the icing on the cake was the music: here's the link to the playlist Other amenities? Photocall (don't miss the photo album), a raffle, a screening and a short thank you speech. We had a great time, the Monaparty was a success and having you all there was the best. You give meaning to all our work #monaparters.

MILLION THANKS #monaparters for being weirdos too.
