When and why did Okify come into being? 

The founders of Okify, Xavier and Mikel, have been living as tenants for more than 25 years and so in 2020 we started looking for creative solutions to tenants' problems. At the end of 2020 we started to get traction with a solution focused on solving problems related to moving and since then we have grown exponentially. We have moved more than 15 times ourselves in different cities around the world, so we know all too well how stressful this experience can be.

What makes you different from other companies of a similar nature? 

Attention to detail, being obsessed with having the highest level of customer satisfaction and this includes both estate agents and their clients, for whom we manage all the procedures related to their move. In addition, we offer products for the different types of clients of an estate agent, whether they are landlords (rental default insurance) or tenants or landlords (moving related procedures).

Tell us a little about your experience of working with Monapart.

We like to collaborate with real estate agencies that strive to provide an excellent service to their clients, even going beyond what is expected. In that sense, Monapart is a benchmark in the sector for their professionalism and way of doing things, they treat their clients very well and that is something that unites us. 

Why is it so beneficial for our customers to have Okify's support?

Mainly, we save you a lot of time at a very stressful time when you are moving house. We find you the best rates for internet, electricity, gas, home insurance, etc., and we sign up the contracts so that you have everything ready from the first day you move into your new home.

Our customers, both landlords and tenants, rate the supply changeover service very positively. Is there room for improvement in the service? Do you have any new developments that you will implement in the near future? 

We currently manage contracts for electricity, gas, water, internet, home insurance, removals and alarms, but we are constantly adding features and new products. Most of them are added because of suggestions from our partners: the real estate agencies. To give you an example: the last functionality we added was a tool that allows you to split the previous owner's bill with the new owner's bill.

What is the reception of renter's insurance and do you notice a growing demand for it? 

Rent default insurance is a product that is increasingly in demand by landlords, it is becoming a standard and we see that, if the real estate agency does not offer it, the landlord often takes it out on his own. That is why we provide real estate agencies with our tool so that they can quickly offer and issue this non-payment insurance for their clients, the landlords.

Have you seized or found any opportunities or advantages during this time of pandemic in your relationship with your customers? 

The pandemic has helped many real estate agencies to accelerate their digitalisation process, and in that sense it has helped us a lot to be able to offer our services all over the country, no matter where our clients are located. With regard to clients moving house, we are currently being particularly helpful to them at this time of year, as energy prices are constantly changing and without advice it is virtually impossible to know which company and tariff is right for you.
