Not every house has its own name. This one does. It is called Josefa López and is the work of two architects under the age of thirty at the dawn of the Spanish modern movement: Josep Lluís Sert and Sixte Illescas. Originally, the six units of this listed building at 341 Carrer Muntaner were duplex flats, but this flat is the result of a division into two. The extraordinary room of this dwelling is the "L" shaped living room, the dining room-library and the open-plan kitchen; a succession of spaces full of light thanks to the south-west facing façade. From here, a wide, well-lit corridor full of lacquered built-in wardrobes leads to the three bedrooms, two bathrooms and the laundry room, which complete this impeccably refurbished home, full of beautiful details, materials and solutions that can only be found in designer homes. Impossible to ask for more.
