This spectacular penthouse next to the Parc de les Estacions is a privileged vantage point from which to view the beautiful city of Palma. Always with your gaze towards the horizon or downwards, never upwards like the rest of us mortals. You know, buy a penthouse and you'll never suffer from torticollis.
Nor does the sculpture of the Mother of God that presides over the main entrance to Palma Cathedral, known as the Portal del Mirador, suffer from torticollis. It was the sculptor Pere Morey who built this Mallorcan Virgin her own private attic and placed her up there, an exceptional vantage point from which she could contemplate everything. The original work is kept in the diocesan museum, and since 1917, what appears in all the photos whenever the King and Queen visit, is a replica by the sculptor Guillem Galmés.
