Sometimes in our day-to-day lives in Monapart GironaAfter visiting a finca you would stay and live there and then. Here this happened to me; something had seduced me during those hours: the two houses had conspired and trapped me in that dreamy green meadow, with the sky bluer than ever. That's the thing about looking through the lens before shooting: it projects you into every nook and cranny of every room. In the big house I discovered magnificent spaces, a history that came from far away in those ancient stones, a respect for the origins in a considerable renovation, a special care for the finishes, a sensitivity for the details...
In the small house I was dazzled by the personal touch of the person who had done the renovation: a large but simple wooden porch, large windows that let the meadow into the house, a beautiful and cosy kitchen that joined with a bright living room, antique finishes combined with modern details, all bathed in very pleasant and personal colours. When I met the author, I understood: the artist's imprint. I imagined the happy life the children had had under those porches, with the swing looking out over the meadow, and running around the inexhaustible estate. I admired the artist's life, going out of the house to cross a piece of garden and enter the studio where creative chaos was allowed, out of the quiet life of the house...
Curiously, the two houses were physically linked by a stone wall, under an umbilical cord that kept them in contact in the middle of that immense green. I saw it as the symbol of the link that united the two families, from different generations, with independent lives connected by strong ties, like those stones.
