I am happy to include this house in the Monapart collection for many reasons, but I won't bore you and I'll just explain the most important ones: One is that this is one of those houses that appear one way, but could be another. It has a separate bedroom (the other one is separated by a bookcase), but it could have up to three separate bedrooms. It has one main door, but could be accessed from up to three different places. The dining room and living room are interchangeable; there are no mezzanines, but there is plenty of headroom to put one, or even two, in which you could do a lot of things.
The owners are architects, and he explains all this to me with naturalness and simplicity, but the truth is that they have designed a magnificent home where everything is well placed and well chosen, without fuss or eccentricity, and with the quiet refinement of the best designs.
