There are different verbs to define the situation in a dwelling: to reside, to inhabit, to lodge, to live... However, to live together is much more appropriate. To live with your flat is to share your life with the space. It is making it yours little by little, decorating it to your taste and filling it with life with a few plants. Living with the space also means adopting part of its character. You can live in your home, but it is much closer to reality to say that you live with your home.
