Currently, any electricity consumer can generate their own electricity with a self-consumption installation connected to the grid. At the domestic level, self-consumption is mainly carried out by means of small-scale solar photovoltaic installations. We can even use the batteries of the electric car to store it! The generalisation of photovoltaic self-consumption installations on roofs and rooftops with batteries will facilitate the creation of solar communities of citizens who actively participate in the new energy model.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-group extended-image-group\"><div class=\"wp-block-group__inner-container is-layout-constrained wp-block-group-is-layout-constrained\">\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote has-text-align-center is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\">\n<p>The generalisation of self-consumption photovoltaic installations on roofs and rooftops with batteries will facilitate the creation of solar communities of citizens who actively participate in the new energy model.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-group\"><div class=\"wp-block-group__inner-container is-layout-constrained wp-block-group-is-layout-constrained\">\n<h5 class=\"wp-block-heading has-medium-font-size\"><strong>Self-consumption: all advantages.<\/strong><\/h5>\n\n\n\n<p>Self-consumption has several advantages both from a global point of view and from the particular point of view of the consumer and the electricity system:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>It favours the digitalisation of energy and smart grids.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>It reduces fossil fuel consumption and external energy dependence.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>It contributes to the decarbonisation of energy and the improvement of air quality.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>It stimulates economic and industrial activity and encourages the creation of jobs that cannot be relocated.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>It saves energy and money for the consumer.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>It puts consumers in control of their energy management and promotes citizen empowerment in the energy model.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>It opens the door to electric vehicles with zero-kilometre energy.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>It does not involve an economic cost regulated by the electricity system and does not require premiums for its economic profitability.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>It reduces losses associated with the transmission and distribution of electricity.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>It helps to reduce saturations in the distribution network.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>It helps to reduce the marginal price of the electricity market.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Solar photovoltaic energy contributes to the coverage of peak demand in summer.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>It contributes to distributed electricity storage.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Self-consumption of electricity means the production of electricity for own consumption.
