They consider design as a fundamental part of their daily work. Their mission is that a reform with good design in a transparent process, should be available to everyone.

Adrian, tell us about yourself and your work. Where did your vocation start? Any first memories?

I was born in Barcelona, where I have lived most of my life. Here I have acquired the modernist style and a passion for the past. I studied architecture partly in Stockholm, where I also assimilated the concepts of warm minimalism. The first memory I have of my vocation was at the age of 16. I had always been attracted to the combination of art and functionality, but I considered myself neither an engineer nor an artist, but a combination of both. When I had to choose a career, this duality was only provided by architecture.

What do you find most satisfying about your work, and any that you are particularly proud of?

Finishing a project and seeing the result is what satisfies me the most. To think that we have built a home where someone will live many moments of their life.

The most important was the first one because it's the first time you feel that sensation.

What is your creative process like, what are your sources of inspiration, any particular music while working?

Our creative process focuses on the client: what they like, what they are like, how they live, how they would like to live... Our value proposition always aims to empower the user of the home.

Currently my inspiration comes from design blogs that accumulate a diversity of projects and trends. The key is to know how to channel all the information and transform it into a project with harmony and meaning.

Favourite colour, book, film and record - in that order! ;D

Garnet.

The city of prodigiess by Eduardo Mendoza.

The Clockwork Orange.

Aftermath by The Rolling Stones.

Is your home a reflection of who you are? Anything!

The best coffee machine in the world.

A great plan at home always includes...

Friends!

Do you have a signature dish?

What I like the most is the Iberian ham with a glass of wine, but if I have to say one dish, it's the cocochas de bacalao al pil-pil.

Where is your favourite place in your city and abroad?

A viewpoint on the Tibidabo mountain from where you can see the whole of Barcelona.

And abroad I choose Williamsburg in New York, as I was living there for a while and it helped me to understand many things about myself.

From the essence of Barcelona modernism to the warmth of Scandinavian minimalism, Adrián Elizalde creates spaces with identity, harmony and meaning. His passion for design is reflected in every detail, from an iconic lamp to the perfect corner to share with friends. Because, in the end, beauty in architecture is born from the life that is built within it.

Creating spaces with identity: architecture as an encounter between aesthetics, functionality and emotion.

[2844,2845
2885,2870,2871
post-1249","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","has-post-thumbnail","hentry","category-hogar","category-mi-monapart","tag-arquitectura","tag-diseno","tag-interiorismo
["GET
