We refer to\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/qstura.cat\/?lang=es\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Qstura<\/a>a school located in Girona that offers online and on-site courses in design, pattern making and dressmaking (including its own diploma in Fashion and Textiles), with a philosophy that is steeped in values such as sustainability and innovation. We spoke to\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.instagram.com\/silviacastelloduran\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">S\u00edlvia Castell\u00f3<\/a>The director, who explains to us when this passion was born, what her sources of inspiration are and what is the colour that fills - literally - every corner of her life.\u00a0<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<h5 class=\"wp-block-heading has-medium-font-size\">Tell us about yourself and your work. Where did your vocation start? Any first memories?<\/h5>\n\n\n\n<p>Qstura is a life project. When I was a child, for different family reasons, I didn't go to school, I was isolated from the world until I was 19 years old... But when I was 11 years old I was given a sewing machine, and that was my salvation and my freedom... I started to create and sew all the time, imagining a different, creative and free world, which over the years I have made a reality, that is the true transformation of sewing that I transmit in my school and in my projects!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.monapart.com\/sites\/default\/files\/styles\/scale_960xn_\/public\/mediabrowser\/silvia_castello_1.png?itok=251CSgmt\" alt=\"Art, fashion and colour (especially one colour): Interview with S\u00edlvia Castell\u00f3\" title=\"Silvia Castell\u00f3\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<h5 class=\"wp-block-heading has-medium-font-size\">What do you find most satisfying about your work, and is there anything you are particularly proud of?<\/h5>\n\n\n\n<p>This connection with myself, to be able to transmit it to our students so that they can feel it through sewing.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h5 class=\"wp-block-heading has-medium-font-size\">What is your creative process like, what are your sources of inspiration, any particular music while working?<\/h5>\n\n\n\n<p>My creative process starts by thinking about how I am, I imagine how I would like my project to be, and how I want it to express my values... If it is coherent, I let a few hours pass, sometimes days... and the magic happens! Tell us what it smells like, your favourite corner, your favourite decorative object or piece of furniture, if you treasure a collection... And if you have a pet, introduce it to us!<\/h5>\n\n\n\n<p>Yes, it's a good reflection, and we made it ourselves less than a year ago! All simple, white and grey, anthracite and hints of wood colour, with a lot of creativity and design only in the lilac fabrics, in different textures and tones. Anything!<\/h5>\n\n\n\n<p>Well look... I'm looking to buy a Mini Cooper and I'm going to paint it lilac!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h5 class=\"wp-block-heading has-medium-font-size\">A great plan at home always includes...<\/h5>\n\n\n\n<p>Philosophies and dances in the kitchen, vegetable garden, family... and sewing! Whenever I need to breathe and find silence, I go there. Abroad, Paris.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h5 class=\"wp-block-heading has-medium-font-size\">Anything you want to tell us that we haven't asked you, speak now or forever hold your peace!<\/h5>\n\n\n\n<p>I would like to tell you about Elisabet, Judit and Carles, my treasures... a luxury to be a mother 24 hours a day.
