De lo bueno, lo mejor
Bright and spacious house in the heart of Collserola 10 minutes from Ronda de Dalt.
Detached 308 m2 house, divided into two floors of 140 m2 each, surrounded by garden, terraces and porches, on a 1406 m2 plot. Project of the renowned architect Albert Illescas, in the Can Cortés residential complex in Sant Cugat del Vallès. The plot is divided into terraces and the house is completely integrated into the landscape. The house has many windows, which provide brightness in all rooms during all hours of the day.
The house is accessed through an exterior staircase, surrounded by solid stone walls and terrazzo de la Bisbal.
Access through a two-leaf door to an open and bright space. On this floor there is: a bedroom with full bathroom, a toilet, the kitchen / office with access to a summer terrace and the living / dining room with access to the garden, a large room with a fireplace, whose spaces are separated by low built in furniture. In the garden they have a large table and this is covered by a wooden pergola with wisteria vine.
The curious thing about this house is the roof, which plays with the inclination and the height to get the sun entering the house, creating some very interesting lighting games.
Through the windows you can see the vegetation of the area giving privacy to all the rooms.
The lower floor is divided into two areas, one with 3 bedrooms, 1 toilet and 1 bathroom with shower, all double with built-in wardrobe and direct access to the porch. The other part is the master bedroom with iron fireplace, bathroom with bath, dressing room and a 30 m2 study that separates from the bedroom with a sliding door. Both the studio and the bedroom have direct access to the porch, overlooking Collserola. All the toilets on the lower floor face an English patio, which gives them external ventilation and direct light.
The floor of the whole house is stoneware, has natural gas heating with radiators in all rooms and radiator / towel rail in all bathrooms. Walls painted white and sloping roof of Arab tile. Carpentry with double glazing, in all windows. It has a closed storage room under the porch, accessible from the garden.
The interior carpentry, as well as many of the lamps and knobs are part of the project that Illescas designed, and these elements are repeated in all the rooms contributing to a global image of the whole.
The garden has a small grove that favors the presence of the variety of birds in the area, which provides a privileged environment.
