This house was designed in 2005 by Gustavo Coderch and finished by the La Granja architecture studio. It is a peculiar, singular and different house in which absolutely nothing is left to chance, where life happens vertically.
The house has 287m2 built, divided into 5 floors connected by elevator, each with a function. The covered floor is a solarium terrace with a swimming pool from where you can see Sant Cugat and this solarium communicates with the lower floor through a metal spiral staircase. The lower floor: bright living room with terrace that is sunny due to the height and orientation and has the original Coderch fireplace in the center, on the same floor it has a space reserved for TV with the possibility of becoming independent from the rest of the room with a sliding door (also can be used as a guest room)
We continue down and find the kitchen / dining room floor, with a large central bar and space for a large table, with light and sun again. On the ground floor there is a toilet that is hidden in a wall painted with chalkboard paint. The kitchen work and water area is at one end with an elongated window that frames views of the city. On the next floor is the master suite: bedroom with the bed facing the views, open double sinks, dressing room, shower and a large Jacuzzi with a long window, again with fantastic views. Further down we find the bedroom floor: 3 bedrooms, two of them with a built-in wardrobe and a desk under a window and a third also with a desk under a window. In the center of the apartment is the semi-open bathroom with a separate shower and toilet. The ground floor and the access is the garage, with capacity for two cars and direct access to a courtyard with a himalayan birch in the center, through a staircase you access the attic converted into an office overlooking the patio. All floors are connected by an elevator. Natural wood flooring with wide slats, green stoneware in the kitchen and dining room, continuous flooring in the garage and natural stone on the terraces. There are parts of the house with a metallic grating floor that lets in light and adds lightness. Gas boiler for sanitary hot water and heating, air conditioning in certain rooms, natural aluminum exterior carpentry and wooden interior carpentry with a highly personalized design for each space.
Nothing is left to chance!
