Van Gogh lived obsessed with yellow and in yellow painted it all compulsively until his death. It is not an easy color, as it is as light, warm and joyful as crazy, bad lucked and ill. Or you love it or you hate it, but there's no middle ground with yellow, the color most contradictory of the whole palette.
Anyway, yellow is bright as the Sun and as gold. And this single family house shines because it is yellow on the outside and inside. The Sun enters each of the rooms, and lies at length in the garden, a haven of peace in the city which you can only remember, but neither smell it nor see it.
I think Van Gogh would have loved this house.
